謝挺博士（Chloe Sun）生於北京，後移居香港，念完高中後來美留學。隨後，在美國信主、蒙召。先後於金門神學院、達拉斯神學院、與福勒神學院取得道學碩士、神學碩士、與哲學博士的學位。自2004年起，在美國正道福音神學院教授舊約。在攻讀道學碩士期間，謝挺曾在南灣中華浸信會服事兩年，為部分時間傳道。她的人生座右銘是藉著教導、講道、與寫作來認識神，也讓人來認識神。
